Welcome to the Cwmbran Pubwatch and Daytime Offenders. Disc system

What is the background of the concept?
The Home Office, under the Crime & Disorder Act 1998, has encouraged local communities to bring together relevant stakeholders and set up local Partnerships to manage local problems. Cwmbran Business Against Crime Partnership (CBACP) is a scheme specifically set up to deal with business-related crime reduction.

What do we need to do?
Licensees have a responsibility under the Licensing Act 2003 to exclude persons who are drunken, violent, quarrelsome or disorderly or whose presence would render the licensee liable to penalty.

The introduction of an effective Pub Watch, which achieves its aims, will aid the recruitment and retention of good staff, which in itself is a cause of problems to many premises and also to encourage customers into your premises as it will be a safer and more friendly environment. This in turn will help you to develop and increase profitability of the business.

Access to Police photos assists Members to more-easily identify Banned Persons.
