Welcome to the Ilford Business Against Crime Disc system
Ilford Business Against Crime (IBAC) is established as a service between participants and it is administered by the Ilford Business Improvement District. This initiative is aimed at reducing crime and the fear of crime. The scheme is based on a proven approach adopted in other towns, cities and shopping centres.
IBAC aims and objectives are to:
- To work with the business community, police, and other agencies within the area that IBAC is established.
- To reduce the effects of crime upon IBAC participants.
- To create an integrated and effective partnership
- To manage offending behaviour through the sharing of photographs and information in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).

To contribute to the wider community safety agenda.

To expand the partnership to all relevant sectors.

To reduce the opportunity to commit crime and anti-social behaviour.

To assist with the apprehension and prosecution of offenders.

To reduce the fear of crime.

To create a safe and secure environment for customers, staff and visitors and to contribute to the economic viability and prosperity of the area.
